Alamo Palace has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for over 30 years. The food has always been consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff makes you feel like family every time you walk in.
What I love most is that it’s a small family-run business that truly cares about their customers and the local community. In a world full of chain restaurants, places like this are special and deserve support. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and that’s probably why they’ve had loyal customers like me for decades.
If you’re looking for authentic, consistently great Chinese food with friendly service and a hometown feel, this is the spot. Highly recommend supporting this local gem!

This is my 90 year old Mom’s place. They remind her that she always loves noodles versus rice.
Took my kin to lunch and even when they found out that I was paying, I got out of there under $200. (And they purposely “accidentally” ordered extra dinner entrees and beers.)
Lot’s of great, authentic dishes. I wanted to eat light and ordered Bok Choy Chicken and it was still a big portion. My wife enjoyed Snow White Chicken. (Loved it.) I don’t know what everyone else ordered but everyone raved. (Was it because I was paying? lol)
The owner, (so sorry, didn’t catch your name as you were so awesome dealing with my Mom.) was so great, patient, not just with my Mom, but with my zany bro’s and their’s!
Great long standing spot in Alamo that you should support. The food is delicious and the service is great!

I have not been this disappointed with a dining experience for sometime now. The BBQ pork fried rice was bland. The first time around the waitress brought out pork fried rice that was disgusting.
The waitress was initially kind and bubbly, however after having to return two orders for not paying attention, resulting in having to make them over again, the disgust in the lady’s face and the rude service that followed was just numbing. It suppressed my appetite and made my wife and I uncomfortable.
On a positive note, the sweet-and-sour chicken was delicious.
