Katsu is fried well and doesn’t eat oily or greasy. I will note that the portion sizes for sides and rice seem off, and they charge extra for sauce (1 is included, not enough).
Overall I am happy with the addition to the Castro valley food option

The food is really good. It fills a niche that doesn’t exist in Castro Valley.
I think the Banchan is a little lacking, but the flavor is there. One of our orders we added a small udon and it was basically added to the small soup. You can see the size comparison in the photos.

Absolutely one of our favorite katsu places. Been going to their Dublin location for a while. Super happy they opened one now in Castro Valley that is closer to us.
Food is so delicious. I tried the combo and curry.
The pork curry is amazing and I have been always coming back for this dish.
Highly recommend.
