Great local East Bay Area Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant. We have been coming here since moving to the area, with the excellent friendly service and great food selection, it is one of our go to’s for dining in to take-out.

I ordered from this place a second time because the first time was great. Great Service, great pizza, I got cheese and peppers…this was just a pickup. This time the pizza was cold, thin crust was not so thin and I came at the time I was given, they could of calculated as well. The ingredients were lacking, mushrooms were sliced so thin, I really couldn’t taste any ingredients, no feta, no pesto, no juicy mushrooms and jalapeños were not fresh, pickled, ugh. I had to re-heat everything. I should of at least tasted the feta if you had added real feta to this pizza. I will not be back and please spend your money somewhere else or learn how to make a homemade pie.

Located not far from the Orinda library, easy parking. As you enter, you are greeted by yummy smells that instantly reminds you of pizza and pasta. Friendly greeting. I loved the private booths and the dining area overlooks a trail with a woodsy window views. Lighting is friendly on the eyes. Our server was Sasha, who was friendly, warm, engaging, and competent. We order the soup of the day, a spinach salad to share, a large pizza , and ravioli. The sauces are all made in house. The pizza crust was super tasty with a good crumb and chew . Plenty of leftovers. We ended preventing with the Nutella cheesecake. There were families and locals. Good music. Recommend for a casual evening out or for take out. Got the impression this was family owned and they hire local students, so bring the support!

I ordered the Italian Hot sandwich and paid $15 for something that was completely unacceptable in terms of quality. It barely had any meat or cheese — mostly bread and lettuce. For an Italian sandwich, I expect generous layers of meats and melted cheese, not a skimpy portion that feels like corners were cut.

The bread was overly toasted and hard, and the whole thing looked sloppy and rushed. At that price point, there’s no excuse for such poor portioning and execution. Village Pizza needs to seriously improve their quality and value. Very disappointing experience — I won’t be returning unless major changes are made.

Honestly not what I expected from this place. I ordered 50 dollars of food and expected a whole lot, but the pizza was burnt to where I could taste the char with every bite. The cookie was pretty good though, but I ordered for a good pizza not a good cookie. If it wasn’t burnt I think it’d be pretty good, once I got past the char and dryness I saw potential or maybe I was just hungry.
