Wonderful and tasty experience. Breakfast was hot and served with a smile. We sat at the bar, that was a first for me!! We enjoyed the home cooked food, it was prepared perfectly. The atmosphere was fresh and clean, in a throw back way. Thank you for restoring my faith in eating out!!

Hope you like Thousand Island dressing because they put it on all thier burgers and sandwiches… that would be fine except the menu doesn’t mention this leaving you without the opportunity to have it held off. The fries were good though.

Found ourselves in McCloud for the morning after a Dr appt. Wanted to go to sojourn coffee shop, they were closed so we went to the only place open. Walked in and was seated no problem. Saw online they had waffles on the menu from passed photos. Saw the menu and found out that they did not have waffles. Decided on chicken fried steak and eggs as well as a single pancake. Pancake was undercooked on the edges and tasted fake as well as not having real butter (margerine instead) was not happy about that. The chicken fried steak tasted manufactured in a factory not made in the kitchen, the hashbrowns were chewy and cold not crispy like it should be. The gravy was definitely canned and the biscuits were definitely equivalent to KFC biscuits, not what I expected for a small town diner establishment. The only redeeming quality in the foods was the eggs, they did not seem powdered and if they were they were faked well.
3.5/10 on the experience. Wouldn’t recommend. Would rather drive to mt Shasta for black bear diner for that type of dining experience.
Make the drive. The whole restaurant felt AI generated. Not genuine at all. Truly a lost opportunity for a small community.

White Mountain Café in McCloud is a hidden gem that perfectly captures the charm of a small-town family diner. It’s the kind of place where locals come in regularly, and the staff treats everyone like family.

The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. The food is classic American comfort food, made fresh and served hot. My kids absolutely love it, and it’s great knowing we can always count on a fulfilling meal here.

What really stands out is the friendly, professional, and down-to-earth staff. The service is excellent—everyone is attentive, kind, and makes you feel right at home. It’s clear that this is a family-run business that takes pride in what they do.

If you’re in McCloud and looking for a hearty meal in a welcoming, small-town setting, White Mountain Café is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be back!

While we were in the area, we decided to check out this charming little cafe. It has a cozy atmosphere and the staff are genuinely friendly. We went with the sausage skillet and the chicken fried steak with gravy and biscuits. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. A great spot for a comforting meal!
