Vita & Vox
A true Hollywood classic. My friends were visiting for a few days, so I wanted to take them somewhere iconic, and Smoke House was the perfect choice.
The food was outstanding. The Prime Rib was absolutely delicious and the highlight of the meal. The bread was warm and fresh, and the Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly.
If you want to experience old Hollywood with great food, this place is a must-visit. Definitely 5 stars.

This place is an iconic los angeles destination in close, proximity to other historical Los Angeles landmarks. I would recommend making a reservation well in advance.Because this restaurant is highly sought after. We did not have a reservation. However they we’re so accommodating. We were able to sit at their full service bar where the bartenders and servers were incredibly hospitable.Knowledgeable and provided excellent timely service. I will definitely be back with a reservation to sit in the main dining hall!! I want to get a closer look at all the Hollywood memorabilia and stars that they have decorating their walls!

Olden day charm and nostalgia abound.
Huge food portions and some good stuff too. Our server, Hector, was very humble and straightforward. Seems like he has been here a while. Even though my soup came out barely above room temp, he politely apologized and brought another topped-off, and now hot, cup to the table.
Everything else was top level dining experience. Our table’s Tomahawk was cooked perfectly and one steak was beyond enough for the four of us.
Lots of good stuff here. Lots of leftovers too.

The food was really terrible. I don’t get what all the hype is about. It was borderline inedible. We went home hungry. Steaks were overcooked and unseasoned. Mashed potatoes were oddly metallic tasting and smelled like fish. I don’t even know how that’s possible, but there you have it. Not recommended at all unless you want to waste time/money. To their credit, the service was actually pretty solid. Attentive server.
