We’ve been here numerous times, I don’t think ever with less than 10 people in our group.

I made reservations ahead of time for 16 people for hibachi and we were not disappointed. Service is always fast, friendly, and efficient. Drinks are stiff, food has always been on point.

They like to make sure their customers leave happy and we’re grateful for that. ALWAYS ADD BACON ❤️

** I had to edit my review after reading other reviews: the bento box our kids got was STACKED and several of us were jealous. People were “fighting each other” for the miso soup and leftover hibachi.

Excellent food and service in an unassuming location.

We ordered a dinner bento box and I chose shrimp specifically. It came with more veggie tempura and 4 shrimp tempura. Taste was not all there, I mean I have eaten way better tasting ones. The miso soup I paid extra because my bento came with the salad (didn’t ask if I wanted soup or salad). So the soup was a disappointment, tasted like water! The siomai was good though and the fresh oysters too. Salad was great! My husband liked his sashimi and tuna roll combo. All fresh and tasted good.

It was okay, I honestly expected better, but I’d say my expectations were unfounded.

Genuinely tasted like the premium alternative to Safeway sushi, and for 45$, as a singular customer who ordered 2 rolls and a coke, felt very overpriced for how much better alternatives I’ve had elsewhere

The host was very nice and to a degree generous, but there comes a point where their generosity feels more like them trying to butter me up, in comparison to making me feel welcomed in their restaurant. That said, aside from feeling like they were looking at me like I were their 5 year old grandson eating sushi for the first time, I can’t really complain about their part of the experience.

What I can complain about, is me being asked to consider service after I am done eating.

I cannot being to explain, how much courage, determination and grit it takes to serve to protect your nation. It is a selfless sacrifice that very few have the balls to stomach.

And yet never in a million years would I allow an employee in my restaurant send off a customer, with 0 earlier interactions, with a recommendation to join the military.

That interaction sours the mood of the experience, regardless of your intentions, which in the cases of all lower division soldiers, is simply boosting their perks and reputation.

There is a time and place for everything, but it most certainly isn’t when the customer is about to walk out of the restaurant, formulate their opinion of the venue, and walk out with the negative association of “If i go there again, I might be bugged or asked to join the military again”

If you want to recruit somebody, do it with people you have at least, in a 4/10 state, settled a mutual friendly relationship

I’ve had a plethora of toxic and frustrating realizations that certain acquaintances of mine were purely interested in the benefits of recruiting me, in comparison to doing so to formulate a friend like bond.

    Regardless, you get the picture

    Dirty entrance
    Old building
    Bland sushi
Overpriced despite being listed as a venue you can eat well for 20$

And worst of all, their sushi was ginormous, and yet their soy sauce plates were smaller than my thumb

It’s a cute venue if you want a rustic certain familiar feel, but nothing necessarily memorable

This was our first visit to Sakura, but it won’t be our last. I had no idea they were in Woodland, but we went with friends for an anniversary celebration and the hibachi was fantastic. My husband and I had the Sakura combination for two and it was delicious! The filet was so tender and the seafood was perfectly cooked. The vegetables and rice were awesome!

We waited for our friends at the bar and enjoyed some cocktails. I had the Cherry Blossom, which was delightful. We saw some of the sushi rolls others were eating and are excited to go back to try that experience.

We absolutely enjoyed our dinner and definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!
