It is one of the few eateries in town. Reliable all American food. Fresh cooked steak for the tri-tip salad, and an enormous selection of salads. Open on Sunday nights too. They have a few saloons and rooms including a variety of seating. The booths are few and one feels one’s neighbors. Also, as this is a local place, lots of local characters eat here.

I ordered what was supposed to be a salad with crispy chicken strips for $20… and it was basically just lettuce & a small piece of chicken that looked half eaten for a child. It also didn’t come with any buffalo sauce as stated on the menu. I politely returned and questioned the situation, and was told “that’s how it comes”. So I asked for my money back as it was not worth it and not what was advertised. The gentleman told me I couldn’t get a refund at first- even though I didn’t touch it or eat any of it. I was very polite the entire time and thought they would make it right or refund me. Finally, he did refund me but was very rude about it, almost scoffing at me. It was extremely unprofessional for such a well known establishment, especially when my claims were valid. The rude tone and way I was treated was uncalled for as I did not go in screaming or yelling at anyone about the low quality overpriced salad I received. He told me “well next time don’t order that salad”. Great customer service, guy. There won’t be a next time because I will not be returning.

    Visited November 4th..see my receipt.

I met my girlfriend here on my way out of town. It is in Penn Valley CA.

I was surprised how busy they were for after 2pm! I ordered a glass of wine and my girlfriend had a beer. We finally went Dutch and thank goodness because the small pizza she ordered she said had anchovies I think! No thanks! I ate some of the crust and she ate the pizza..lol! Pizza crust was done perfectly.

It’s definitely a regulars hangout with friendly people inside. Also Kid friendly.

They do have happy hour starting at 2pm per the sign.

Plenty of inside seating in the restaurant and bar area.

Next time I am in the area I will get a pepperoni pizza!

Plenty of tvs to watch sports. Beer and wine available.
