Great Burmese restaurant right at the end of First Street downtown. The interior is straight forward with lots of tables, and a large outdoor seating area on an open patio and also a side covered patio too. Service for dinner was efficient and friendly throughout the evening. Highlight for the Tea Leaf salad which arrives deconstructed and the server mixes is all together so it is super fresh and very flavorful. We also enjoyed the pumpkin curry chicken, chili beef, and eggplant with garlic sauce. We like our cuisine spicy and they did not disappoint! Spicy but still maintained the flavor you expect. Very happy with My Burma!
This restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience, especially for those looking to enjoy a vibrant meal outdoors on their patio space. During my recent visit, the service was attentive and welcoming throughout the meal, adding a hospitable touch to the entire afternoon. The outdoor seating area has a great atmosphere, though it is worth noting that a few of the tables lack umbrellas. When the autumn breeze picks up, this makes it a bit of a challenge to protect your food from the falling leaves, so grabbing a fully covered table is definitely recommended if you want a completely uninterrupted meal.
The absolute highlight of the experience was the Burmese style pad thai. This dish is a spectacular variation on the traditional classic, proving to be incredibly fresh, tasty, and deeply flavorful. While traditional pad thai usually relies on a balance of sweet palm sugar and sour tamarind, this unique Burmese rendition introduces a beautiful twist to the flavor profile. The noodles are expertly cooked and tossed with a savory sauce, and the kitchen mixes crisp, shredded cabbage directly into the dish to provide a clean, refreshing crunch that contrasts beautifully with the tender rice noodles. Every single bite is packed with distinct savory notes that make it stand out from standard noodle dishes. Between the excellent flavor profiles and the friendly staff, this spot is highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy fresh Southeast Asian cuisine in a relaxed setting.
Burmese food is basically a flavor bomb that shows up unannounced and suddenly you’re emotionally attached. My Burma downtown is doing the most in the best way—great location, solid vibes, and service that actually feels like they want you there (rare, honestly).
Everything is super veg-friendly with plenty of swaps and mods, which I always appreciate because some places act like removing meat is a personal insult. Fun fact: Burmese cuisine is one of the only Southeast Asian cuisines where fermented tea leaves (yes, edible tea salad energy) are a legit staple. Would absolutely come back, preferably hungry again so I can over-order like I have no self control.
love this restaurant.
the food is incredible, there’s dishes for whatever you’re in the mood for. I’d especially recommend the tea leaf salad when it’s hot out. The service is very fast as well. My only issue is that it does get kind of loud inside sometimes, but not a deal breaker.
Wow. Everything was incredible. The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the service stayed consistently great even though it was late and the restaurant was busy. Our group of four ordered several dishes, and every single one impressed us. The platha with coconut chicken curry dip was beyond fantastic — rich, flavorful, and easily some of the best platha I’ve ever had. The garlic noodles with chicken were also mind‑blowing. We tried a variety of other plates, including the papaya salad, beef curry, and Burmese pineapple fried rice, and each one delivered its own standout flavors. You truly can’t go wrong with this place.
