We went there as my friends parents were visiting from India.
We ordered Gobi Manchurian(Dry)(0/5) and Chana Papdi Chaat(5/5) for appetizers.
We specifically asked them for dry manchurian, but they gave it to us with gravy. Also it did taste like manchurian at all… it was more like kofta in a ketchup gravy.. No soy sauce or green onions were to be seen.
Papdi chaat was nice, it hit all the right spots. It was perfect mix of tangy and spicy with crispy papdi.
For main course we had
Amritsari kulcha(2/5): The stuffing was okayish, it had A LOT of whole coriander seeds, which was disrupting the taste.
Garlic Naan(5/5) : Naan was perfect, with good amount of butter and garlic.
Dal Tadka(4/5): Tasted nice. There wasn’t anything particular wrong with it, but I wouldn’t say it was a 5.
Paneer Tikka Masala: 2/5 – It was very very very sweet. I think tikka masala is not supposed to be sweet. Also, the paneer was not soft .
Mango Lassi(1/5): It seemed purely synthetic and artificially flavored.
We went yesterday for lunch and ordered butter chicken, naan, samosas and fish pakoras. They were amazing and fresh. Great taste and great food and customer service clean place.
We decided to try Mother India after noticing it while driving by. I’m so glad we stopped! It was delicious. The chili garlic naan was freshly made. The dosas were fried to perfection and huge. The chicken tikka was excellent and spicy. Mother India restaurant has a huge menu of veg and non veg items. The location is clean and the staff was super friendly.
