Mccloud rv is a real breath of fresh air. Great host. Amazing campground. We stayed with our family in the cabins near the creek and it was like waking up on a post card out the window. Friendly staff and my kids loved the room to roam. Definitely booking again soon.

Very nice for RVs. Sites are a little small but the green grass and tall trees make up for it! Great for kids to bring bikes or scooters to ride around or even play at the creek. I was very happy and will definitely be a returning visitor.

This weekend, we stayed at McCloud RV Resort, just off I-5 and south on Highway 89.

Getting there was easy, and check-in went smoothly. The staff at the office were friendly and gave us clear directions and a map to our site.

We stayed in Site 60, which I believe is one of the better sites in the campground. It had water and 30-amp electrical service and was set on green grass beneath large ponderosa pines. The trees, shade, and grassy setting made the site especially enjoyable.

The campsites are fairly close together, although that seems common at many established RV parks. I am more accustomed to open, primitive camping, so it felt tighter than what I normally prefer.

The campground was active during the daytime, especially over the weekend, with people visiting, relaxing, and enjoying the area. By around 10:00 p.m., however, everything settled down and became quiet.

McCloud RV Resort is a good option for anyone looking for an easy-to-reach campground with hookups, shade, and a quiet nighttime atmosphere. The sites are closer together than the primitive camping areas I usually prefer, but Site 60 gave us a comfortable place to park the Omni beneath the tall ponderosa pines. I would stay there again, especially if Site 60 were available.

This was an adequate stop. We caught it at a down time, on a Tuesday. The town and neighboring pizza brewery were closed. They do have nice grass as advertised. A few things bring down my review. The spots I wanted to camp under the trees were being watered for hours. The men’s room had two showers but one was out of service. 25$ for a small dog that just stays at camp and that we clean up after seems a bit much. Also there’s a lot of signs with rules and snarky sayings like “the pound will take your barking dog.” Finally they have 8pm to 9 am quiet hours, but started mowing at about 8 in the morning. All this is to say I would be more flexible if I didn’t pay 100$ for a subpar establishment.

5 star review from Southern California. Great facility, clean, and perfect location. Staff and people stayed here are cool and respectful of others. Recommended to take your family members (especially kids), friends, and puppies for vacation.
