I gave two stars instead of one because the sales and finance staff were genuinely pleasant and I love the car itself. But the CPO certification process has been a serious disappointment.
I purchased a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport from Honda Marin in April 2026 as a HondaTrue Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. Six days after purchase the battery died completely in a parking lot, so I drove to a local Honda dealership to have it load tested, and it failed. The same test was certified as passing on the CPO inspection just 24 days earlier. I replaced it out of pocket for $195. When I filed a reimbursement claim with Honda corporate, it was denied.
I was also told the car would be detailed before pickup. When I received it, it was noticeably dirty inside.
I sent a detailed written complaint to the General Manager on April 28th and never received a response.
A CPO certification is supposed to give you peace of mind that the vehicle has been properly inspected. In my experience it didn’t. If you’re buying CPO from Honda Marin, I’d recommend verifying the inspection items yourself before signing.

We originally went to Manly Honda in Santa Rosa, but unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant experience there. Afterward, my husband contacted Marin Honda after seeing that the vehicle he wanted was in transit to their dealership. He scheduled an appointment with David.
On the day of our appointment, we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming woman who guided us to David, who was already waiting for us. From the moment we met him, David was informative, personable, funny, and genuinely welcoming. He made the entire car buying process enjoyable and stress-free.
I also want to recognize the rest of the team. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, shook our hands, and offered us drinks and snacks. David, Rony, and the finance manager (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember) all contributed to making this a great experience.
Because of the outstanding customer service we received, I am already recommending this dealership to my friends and family. Highly recommend!
By the way, (if it wasn’t too obvious) we left with a beautiful car! Honda Civic.
