This was our second trip with Captain Micah to fill our freezer. We had an outstanding experience with him last summer harvesting huge halibut, and our limit of giant rockfish and crab. It kept our family of 4 (with two teenage boys) fed with weekly seafood meals for a whole year, so it was a no-brainer to book with him again for our fishing trip this summer. He does a phenomenal job of getting us onto fish quickly and doesn’t waste time settling on small fish or “waiting it out” in an area that isn’t producing. While we were unable to reach the halibut grounds this year due to an uncooperative ocean on our fishing day, Captain Micah worked hard to ensure we still had a great day getting our limits of everything else. We have worked with several other fishing guides both in California and Idaho, and Micah’s work ethic from start to finish is exceptional. He’s a remarkable one man show who never stops doing his best to ensure his clients have a great experience. He’s also wonderful with our kids and gets them involved with helping in the process, so they are learning more than just how to hold a fishing pole – such a valuable opportunity for them! I also appreciate his attention to safety and integrity for conservation, he really sets a great example for everyone (especially our little aspiring game warden!) On top of that, he’s a great guy to hang out with for the day who we truly enjoy! We’ll be back next summer!

My 2 sons and I had an amazing 1/2 day fishing with Micah. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and a great captain. Felt like fishing with a buddy. He put us on fish all day and loaded us up with crab. Highly recommended!

Micah was extremely engaging and was wonderful with our teenage kids. He took our family crab fishing, let us get dirty and engaged, and took extra care to make sure the kids could push their comfort level with the new experience.
