I read a couple reviews posted before we ever got to Lakeshore for our family reunion still going, our entire family is having a great time and the staff is wonderful, the food has been awesome, the campground though still being restored by the new owners has been such a pleasant stay, very peaceful and it sure seems to me everyone here strangers and family seem to be enjoying the experience. I don’t understand the two reviews I read. The place and the staff have been awesome always coming to check on you making sure everything is good , if you need anything…what more could you ask for? Two more days of our family reunion to go and were all looking forward to it….id say out stay is 5 stars if your asking me.

If your standards are low and you have the extra money, it’s a decent place. We just left after one night and I couldn’t wait to get to our campsite and set up our tent. That might say enough. We paid entirely too much for a “premium” cabin that has a giant water stain and holes in the ceiling, spiderwebs and spiders everywhere, the doors would hardly open or close all the way because of how slanted the floors were, and less than half of the outlets worked. Housekeeping left food in the drain of the sink and the floors were greasy and made our feet and socks black. I understand this is new management and I can see they’re making an effort, but they’re putting bandaids over things that need way more than that.

Overall it was a great stay. Air conditioning, shower and a good bed after a fun day of playing I. The lake was fabulous! The. Ceiling fan does need to be tightened to the ceiling. We liked how close parking was to our cabin.

We paid over $600 to stay here on memorial weekend. We stayed in cabin 8, which was NOTHING like the photos on the website. Our cabin was dirty, super dilapidated, and had a slope in the floor that was way beyond reasonable. Terrible bed, almost no bedding/pillows. No extra bedding available. No real parking. We booked due to location and bar and pool. The pool was closed for the entire weekend. The restaurant/bar closed early every night. This place need some major updates, and the website is very misleading. Pretty disappointing considering the price. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I could tell they were working with what they had. Bar is nice, great bartenders, patio needs work.

Really enjoyed my week here. Right on the lake with a lake view from every site. I had a pull thru site and everything worked out great. Cheryl and Lu were great hosts, friendly, and accommodating. I enjoyed the close lake access for launching my SUP off the side of the bridges close by. A few bar and grills are nearby. Grocery store down the road had a big selection and rolls of quarters for laundry. The laundry room was clean and the washer and dryer worked well. They are just getting open and are doing a lot of work to the place. It was a very peaceful and enjoyable stay. I will visit again some time.
