We absolutely LOVE La Fonda!! Would highly recommend fish tacos, shrimp burrito, 4 mini tacos, or al pastor burrito. The margs are all top notch, free chips and salsa and bean were to die for. The staff (Frances) is an absolute gem, location is clean amd cozy, do not pass this place up!

La Fonda of Inglewood was a really good experience overall. The food was good, the space was clean, and the whole restaurant felt inviting from the moment we walked in. It has a low-key, relaxed atmosphere, but also a fun personality that makes it stand out. The signage throughout the restaurant is in both English and Spanish, and some of it includes jokes and puns, which gives the place a lighthearted and welcoming feel.

One thing I appreciated right away was that they start you off with one free serving of chips, salsa, and bean dip. That was a nice touch and a great way to begin the meal. They also have a self-serve water station, which is convenient, and even that area has personality with a themed word search.

Their menu is thoughtful and has something for everyone. They serve breakfast all day, which is always a plus. They also offer a specific vegetarian/vegan menu and a dedicated kids menu, so it feels like they really try to accommodate different needs and preferences.

The food itself was fresh, clean, and well prepared. They offer all of the standard Mexican fare, but it tastes like it is made with care. We tried the crunchy tacos, wet burritos, and fish plates, and everything was flavorful and satisfying.

Overall, La Fonda is a clean, inviting restaurant with good food, a fun sense of humor, and menu options that make it easy for a variety of people to enjoy. It feels comfortable, casual, and well put together. I would definitely go back.

Second time here and it honestly tasted better this time around! I was going to order pick up but decided to eat inside and I’m so happy I did. There is such a homey feel here and the food tastes comforting too. I had the asada fries and there were mixed reviews online about them but they were pretty tasty. I appreciate the generous portions and the way they dress their food with cheese and lettuce. I also got a wet burrito. Both were really good. Thank you for the consistency and for being a staple in the community. Wishing this restaurant the best and much more.

Yesterday I picked up my favorite flight attendant from LAX, and we decided to grab something to eat near the airport. We ended up at La Fonda’s in Inglewood, and honestly, the experience started before we even walked in, the sign on the front door set the tone for the whole visit. It was hilarious, blunt, and so real that I instantly respected the vibe.

Inside, the restaurant didn’t look like the typical bright, fiesta style Mexican spot. It was clean, modern, and surprisingly minimal in the best way. The menu was easy to read, the vegan options were clearly marked, and they even had a self‑serve water station and a word‑search puzzle station, which I thought was such a cute touch.

The two gentlemen working that day were amazing. Our waiter was super attentive, and the server who brought out our food had us laughing. The cucumber/lemon water was refreshing, and the piña jurritos was delicious. We both ordered mini tacos, mine came with a side of rice and beans. The chips and salsa were A1, and the red sauce was very spicy but still flavorful. They even served beans with the chips, just like in Nacho Libre if you know, you know.

I didn’t try any alcoholic drinks since I was driving, but we’re already planning to go back for the margaritas. The server recommended the spicy marg, so that’s definitely first on my list next time.

This restaurant was very unassuming from the outside – the party I was with almost didn’t go in. I’m SO glad we did, because all of the food was flavourful, perfectly spiced, and were served in hearty portions.

As someone with a gluten intolerance, I was able to safely eat the majority of the menu. I ordered chicken as a main, and was given fresh corn tortillas to accompany the dish. My thoughts about the flavour can be seen by the POLISHED OFF plate. I couldn’t get enough of that sauce! The sparkling water I got was also presented beautifully, and the salt was an excellent touch! I found the service very friendly.

My only complaint would be the interior is not very inspiring, but that didn’t bother me once I tried the food.

    Overall, very yummy!
