If you’re looking for the best craft beer in Kelseyville, Kelsey Creek Brewing on Main Street is the answer. This little Lake County nano-brewery punches way above its weight.

Their beer, “What’s Your Lightest?”, is exactly what the name promises and it’s perfect; crisp, clean, and gone before you realize it. On the other end, “Night of the New Moon” is a fantastic stout: rich, roasty, and balanced instead of heavy. The taps rotate constantly, so there’s always something new brewing with local ingredients. I’ve never had a bad pour here.

A big part of what makes this place work is Jason and Caroline, the owner-brewers. They’re behind the bar, they remember you, and they’ll happily talk you through what’s on tap without a shred of beer snobbery. Genuinely warm, funny people who make everyone feel like a regular by the second visit.

The atmosphere matches. Zero pretension, just a cozy downtown taproom lined with incredible throwback concert posters — Furthur Festival, Fillmore prints, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan. It’s a music history wall you could spend an hour reading.

Family friendly and dog friendly both. Board games and card games everywhere, so bring the kids and a deck and stay for three rounds. Wednesday nights are trivia night, with the entry fee going to local charity, worth planning your week around. They don’t serve food, but you can bring your own or grab something from the restaurants right down the block, which makes it an easy spot for a relaxed evening with friends.

Fun place with great beers. They have live music occasionally as well. I’ve gotten amazing BBQ from taqueria across the street or pizza and eaten there. The locals are a lot of fun as well !

Another ideal local pub with great craft beer. Kelseyville is a great little small town with good people and many small businesses to support. Loved it. They treated me like a regular on my first visit.

Stopped in to fill the growler on our way to camp next to the lake. Wonderful place, with awesome staff! Irish festival was in full swing with great food to go with wonderful in-house brews! Lemmy Stout was a clear winner!

Loved this little place. Good beer, good vibes, and wonderful people. Both the bartenders and the locals at the bar were as friendly as they could be. I have bookmarked this place and will definitely return on my visit to Kelseyville.
