It was an okay campground. I did not like the drive up. There is only one way in and out. Its very high up and the road is very narrow with only room for one car and I ran into a few cars where I had to stop on the edge of a cliff to get the other car by. I wouldn’t go to this particular campground again because of the road. Lots of bees and black flies.

Beautiful campground! The camp host is incredibly helpful, accommodating, and keeps the grounds clean and maintained. It has really great handicap access to the lake, an accessible fish cleaning station, clean pit toilets, and a beautiful accessible camp space. My one and only complaint is that you can’t reserve any of the spaces, including the handicapped one, and if you’re handicapped (like my husband is) your chances of actually using that site is unlikely due to able bodied individuals regularly claiming it first. If your disabled and want that space claim it before Thursday. The park department should really consider making that one space exclusively for people with proof of a disability.

Its a small lake. There’s a walking path from the parking parking lot to the lake. It is beautiful. There are vault toilets. It seems clean. There’s pack in camp sites and reservations camp sites. Steep drive. Slow moving.

What a gem! Camping facilities primitive but Nice. Clean. No exaggeration, I didn’t see a single piece of trash on the ground while there.

Lake was beautiful. Clean. Full of trout. Saw a bald eagle resting in a tree.

    Quiet.

    Hoping to return some day.

I absolutely Love this place. The campsite was well maintained and the Lake was amazing. There are restrictions on motorized boats allowed on the lake. The majority of people fish from the shore or row boat. We were made aware of an issue with rattle snakes. One had been killed the day before we had gotten there and one had bit a dogs nose the week before. We didn’t see any. Unfortunately it rained for most of our visit, but it was still nice. It’s $15.00 a night to camp and day use is free. It’s a little scary driving the mountain to the campsite and there are a few narrow spots where cars may have to back up if they meet someone on the road. I reccomend rolling down your windows to listen for oncoming vehicles so that you are prepared to pull off.
