I took my husband here as part of his surprise bday gift. We enjoyed our 4 night stay in an authentic, refurbished Santa Fe caboose with a cupola. We stayed in Caboose #27, which is on the quieter side of the park.
We enjoyed the peace and quietness, along with the amazing views. The grounds are well kept with multiple picnic tables on the property. There are Adirondack chairs throughout to just sit, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. We also enjoyed our morning and evening stroll around the premises. Breakfast in the dining car was delicious as well as the cocktails we had one evening. The staff is amazing and very attentive to your needs. (Just fyi: we visited Sept 29th-Oct 3rd,2026 and the weather was still warm and not much fall foliage during this time.) A must add to your bucket list, especially if you are a railroad/train enthusiast! We truly enjoyed our stay!

Very unique experience. And the restaraunt was outstanding. Good eating experience. Very accommodating I brought a bottle at an out side store for before dinner sipping outside at the Adirondack chairs and they opened it for me and allowed us to finish it when we came back for dinner.

Our room was a little dated but they told us it is next up for a remodel. The only issue we had was the shower needed a curtain.
Very pleasant staff, grounds are kept nice and we enjoyed the novelty of staying in a Caboose. Lots to do in the area.
We had strawberry shortcake at the restaurant and it was very good. Loved the staff and setting there.

I have been eating at the restaurant here since I was a small child. This time, stayed with my partner during a road trip. The caboose room was a lovely home base for a couple nights! We really enjoyed reading in the mornings with coffee in the cupola. The details of metal cups and soap dispensers instead of disposable items was really appreciated!! The charm and service here are wonderful. We’re foodies and dinner in the dining car is a far cry from the steak and spaghetti it used to offer! It was absolutely fantastic- even though they were low on things, the execution was stunning and so tasty! We will definitely stay again when the opportunity arises!

We stayed at the rv campground. We stayed 2 times within about a week. We used 2 separate pull through sites, both easily accessible. The property had ample room for movement. The staff was friendly and the first stay led us to our site, the second stay included proper directions to our site that was within sight of the office. It is located right of the I5, making it the perfect place to stop on your way through.
It is a cute railroad themed park with railroad car cabins, play equipment and includes a pool and spa. The hookups for the campground worked properly, we did not use the sewer dump. The sites were shaded. It was a quiet park with activities. They also had a dog park.
Will stay again.
