Nice campground, I will say they keep those bathrooms very very clean for a campsite was very impressed. Its close to the beach, whatever campsite you choose to make your reservations. Safe for the kids, they cant really get lost.
This is a great family and dog friendly beach for day use as well as camping. The waves are small and the flat beach extends pretty far out into the water. The beach is fairly long with lots of accessible parking all the way down the beach and the walk to the water is not too far. There is easy access to public restrooms that were fairly well maintained for a public beach.
Beautiful views and beach access is unparalleled. Pretty basic campgrounds, but the hosts went above and beyond for us, even helping us start a fire in crazy winds. Showers are only available on certain days and besides wood, no other way to purchase items, so come prepared. This is not a great place for tent camping because of the winds. The jetty foghorn will make sure you wake up at dawn!
The park was nice and clean except the bathrooms which could use some cleaning and updating. We came on a Saturday and the parking lot was full but the beach felt empty. There was a lot of room for all the people to spread out. I was surprised to find very little trash and only collected a dozen or so small pieces. People must really love this park because they take good care of it. I can’t wait to come back to go camping.
Great campaign spot! Weather wasn’t good as three days prior was heavy rain with flooding January 5-7. Finally saw the sun today and everything looks good. Must go to Sonoma Coast State Park (breathtaking view during the day and amazing sunset!
Bathrooms and showers could be better and make sure your shower accepts coins before taking your clothes off.
Dump station 10$ fee easy to access (as it’s off season) but we don’t see potable water.
Great restaurants near by and fish market.
I was so annoyed by constant beeping sound.
