They ADD a SURCHARGE when you use a credit card. Nice place, good food, easy parking. Kid friendly, and sports fan friendly. The food is good and so is the service. Avoid until they drop the credit card surcharge.

Hidden gem in Redwood City/ San Carlos area. I was welcomed by Scott Burger, big two 1/3 pound beef patty with generous slices of bacon. The onion rings were crispy and not greasy. Well, I enjoyed them so much that I wish to have more even though my stomach was already full. I also liked the vibe of old school inns as well. The food price is also affordable. They also have a large menu beyond the burger. I will definitely come back to eat the same thing and try more things 🙂
UPDATE 2026/3/3: Tip: Add Pastrami into your Scott Burger for the ultimate burger experience. Eat with garlic fries. That made me feeling grateful being a human lol.
UPDATE 2026/3/21: Visited there again with friends who have never been there. They all agree that the burgers are amazing 🙂

Canyon Inn is a classic and very casual local vintage/rustic mainstay with burgers and a wide variety of pub grub. Sports theme memorabilia from the 49ers abound. Beer selection is limited but the choices are solid. Backyard patio seating when it’s warm. Kids evidently love the place too, and there are some pinball and arcade games. Canyon Inn is one of the top contenders on Nextdoor when people ask for the best burger joint around here. Enough said.

Parking was difficult during weekend dinner hours. It was also very crowded, so there was a wait! But it was all worth it; the food was very fresh, and the burger was the best I’ve ever had. The nostalgic atmosphere is rare in the Bay Area these days, so a visit to Redwood City is a must.

Great place for families. Food is reasonably priced, and they have a great variety. We googled “good food near me” and found this gem. We were in Redwood City. I had the tri-tip sandwich, it was tender, and the fries are great too. My daughter had the 1/2 rack of ribs that was all gobbled up. My other daughter had a Steak sandwich and she ate majority of it. All my daughters had milkshakes. It would be 5 stars, but the milkshakes were pretty milky than thick. The arcade was a hit with the kids too. We’ll be back.
