I’m a 100% service connected disabled vet with PTSD and applied for a service dog through this organization to replace my 12yr old retired PTSD service dog. The application process is extremely invasive asking lots of personal questions, asking for an autobiography and just all kinds of stuff. This is just to get approved. They sent me a link to a website or application and it wouldn’t let me submit my answers or advance on my application. I got upset and emailed their staff how ridiculous and stupid it was that their application didn’t work right and instead of them asking how they could fix it or make it better they denied my application over my “behavior”. I didn’t exhibit any behavior, I used my words to tell you your organization is stupid and cant do a simple thing like an application correctly. How am I supposed to even submit my application if your stupid page keeps giving me an error message? How am I supposed to feel? This organization is a bad organization, their employees are rude, unhelpful and I don’t know who they’re really helping but not me.
Helping people put their life back together one dog at a time. The program is amazing. They have a 10 days of living on campus to meet and work with your new partner. This is also free of charge to whomever gets a service dog. They have dogs for people with disabilities and veteran PTSD.
These guys do so much good and their HQ is right here in Santa Rosa. My charity of choice. They lead the service dog industry in transparency, and actually tell you how many dogs they place. Have seen other organizations shy away from actual impact and placement numbers..
This organization provided the most extraordinary facility dog for my special ed classroom. He has transformed lives of the students he works with. I can’t say enough good things about this organization, it’s volunteers and puppy raisers. They are a godsend. And we are eternally grateful.
