Burbank Café + Bar was a pleasant surprise and definitely a local spot worth checking out. Located inside the Burbank Hotel, it has a beautiful, spacious open layout with plenty of seating, including tables by the windows overlooking the street. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.

The food was very good. The avocado toast was beautifully presented and delicious. The chilaquiles were well seasoned with just the right amount of spice, not too spicy at all, but I think they would be even better with a protein option. The breakfast burrito was also solid and flavorful enough that it didn’t even need any sauce. Next time, I’d love to try it with bacon.

The coffee was okay. My cold brew tasted a bit watered down, although they do offer a good selection of flavored syrups. I would also love to see them add cold foam and sweet cream as options for their drinks, as that would really elevate the coffee menu.

The servers were friendly and attentive, and the wait time was reasonable. The only downside was the coffee counter staff, who seemed a bit unenthusiastic when greeting customers. A little more energy would go a long way, especially during the breakfast rush.

Overall, it’s a great breakfast spot with a welcoming atmosphere. I didn’t get a chance to visit the bar this time, but it looked inviting, and I’ll definitely be back to check it out.

My husband & I visited the cafe while on vacay and THIS was the best meal we had so far. The breakfast burritos with bacon added were “chefs kiss” very delicious. Everything tasted fresh. Very clean atmosphere. Service was great.
