I wanted to like this place. I came for my birthday and wanted to get a good steak. I ordered their prime filet mignon ($20 at the grocery store and $65 here) and must have not noticed that the menu said it comes bacon wrapped, which in my experience is what they do to lower quality cuts of meat to make it “better”. I wanted to taste a good steak, not bacon. It was also under seasoned. The vegetables were also under seasoned and not very soft. They asked if I wanted another steak but at that point I didn’t want to wait. I just ate it without the bacon but it still tastes like bacon. Very disappointing for a $65 steak. They tried to make up for it by making us wait for a dessert that we didn’t pick out even though we wanted to order a different desert which we had to wait even longer for once they brought out the desert we didn’t order.. They let us eat both desserts and didn’t charge us for either of them but at that point it was just a disappointing experience, especially considering the bill was still $200. Honestly you’d be better off with a $50 steak dinner from Outback.
This dinner date started with the hostess in all black and who had short brown hair. Insulting us to our face about our attire.
After we entered for our reservation, she looked at us, then looked at her coworker and asked outloud “do we have a dress code? Can I ask people to leave for not dressing up?”
I should have just left there as this was a clear indication of the lack of carr this restaurant has.
Our food was generally bad. Food was unseasoned, and undercooked. The mashed potatoes had large lumps in them. The vegetables were just passed raw.
The Brussels sprouts tasted nice. But we’re horribly undercooked.
On to the plating. Imagine paying nearly $100 for a steak and this is how its brought out. Are you a interstate diner? Because that is what this giving.
It seems that like most restaurants lately. This chef is also allergic to salt.
I have no plans to return. My server was nice and the cook on the steak was proper. The steak itself just lacked any flavor.
If i ever want bad hospital food for $210 I will make sure to call this restaurant.
Celebrating a golf tournament placing with my grandson! The food was amazing from appetizers to desserts! Customer service at its best !! Compliments to the chef!!
Our server Allie was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She timed out the courses great and made our experience really nice at Brickhouse. I really enjoyed the fresh steelhead special and the bacon wrapped scallops were delicious. Can’t wait to return.
Honestly, my steak was overcooked initially. However, after speaking with my server, they responded promptly and with great enthusiasm. Even the manager came to check on me. The food was okay, but the 16-ounce steak was a bit too much for my taste. On the positive side, our server was very knowledgeable about wines and Oregon itself. If you’re a skier like me who’s visiting Oregon, I highly recommend this steakhouse for a fine dining experience.
