Wonderful place to botanize! Lots of plants, some very rare. Nobody else there on a Saturday other than our group. Limited parking, but that was only an issue because we had a group. A clearly marked trail. Once we got out of the parking area, no biting insects! And the temps reached the mid 90’s, which wasn’t great. No restroom so be prepared

Serene, quiet, and nature at its finest. This is a vernal lake that is the life blood of the local environment. It attracts wonderful birds and large animals, creates an amazing sunset, and truly details the waning side of nature with its immense volume of fallen trees. But from the trees are fantastic fungi and stupendous stumps! A real treat for visitors and locals alike, this lake is a visual pulse of the wild community here.

We came here yesterday and it was a great place for the under tens nice loop walk not difficult with only a few up and downs with rocks. Nicely maintained and even though has suffered fire damage recently you can see it springing back to life. Geese and lizards were the main wildlife. Did see a hawk hunting!
