Lyndsie the amazing bartender, Dawn and the Restaurant manager customer service skill set was over the top amazing! They welcomed us with open arms! Made the best gin and tonics …. Assisted us in our food choices and a side of history of the Narrow Gauge Inn.
Every part of my experience with this restaurant was excellent. I’m a bit of a foodie and can say with complete confidence that the entree I had (and my friends) were on par with some of the best restaurants at home in NYC. For an appetizer, we ordered the empanadas with a unique spin of puree of cilantro. I ordered the rack of lamb which was perfect temperature with a rosemary, clover, and flowers. This was the first time I had a rack of lamb with floral subtle tones. To the chef – great work! We all were impressed.
The restaurant had a unique cozy atmosphere that we all loved. If you are staying anywhere in the area I highly recommend that you visit this hidden gem.
A great find just outside Yosemite. We ordered the famous Ribeye and it was delicious, a generous portion that we ended up sharing, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The house wine paired beautifully with the meat.
One small note: the Buffalo Bar sign outside left us momentarily unsure if we were in the right place — but once inside, all doubts disappeared. The rustic atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with lovely views that complete the mountain experience.
Our server Lindsey was a highlight of the evening , genuinely enthusiastic, kind, and walked us through the menu with great energy and care. That kind of hospitality makes all the difference.
Highly recommended for a satisfying meal after a day in Yosemite.
This is the greatest place you can find near Yosemite Park. It’s one of the oldest restaurants in all this area. We came almost five minutes before closing, and they still served us and suggested to us. They were really nice to us, it’s five stars level of hospitality!
Thank you!
Wife and I were looking for a great diner after a full day in Yosemite. Glad we noticed this jewel of a place along the twisty highway. It is AS CUTE AS CAN BE. Service was warm, genuine and very inviting. Our server told us of about the owners that bought the place to renovate and restore this historic little jewel. Food was great, good portions, meats perfectly cooked with everything balanced well. There’s an attached Inn that we’d love to stay at in the future. This place has made our short list of places to stay and/or refuel on future adventures.
