If you’re anywhere near Fort Bragg and need a haircut, do yourself a favor and stop by this barbershop.
I walked in without an appointment while traveling through the U.S., not expecting much more than a quick trim. The barber told me to come back in about an hour to an hour and a half—and when I did, I ended up having one of the most genuinely positive experiences I’ve ever had at a barbershop.
From the moment I sat down, he was incredibly open, warm, and genuinely interested. We talked about our travels, and he shared tons of helpful tips and stories about the area. It didn’t feel rushed or transactional at all—more like a conversation with someone who truly enjoys connecting with people. His energy was just on another level: kind, curious, and deeply appreciative of what he does and who he meets.
When it came time to pay, there was a small hiccup—he couldn’t accept card payments. I asked where the nearest ATM was, but instead of making it complicated, he simply accepted the cash I had on me.That alone says so much about his character. This is someone who clearly values people over profit and takes real pride in his work.
The haircut itself? Excellent. But honestly, the experience mattered even more.
10/10—if there were more stars, I’d give them. If you’re in the area, go support this man and his business. People like him deserve to succeed.
