The ER people were friendly and kind. They were good at their jobs. But after prompts to followup with my primary care physician also through Adventist they can’t get me in for 12 days so any advice on how to help the problem will not be timely. I may be switching care providers or to telehealth
My initial visit to Ukiah was good well taken care of. Problem was two of the labs couldn’t be done they were coded incorrectly so Medicare wouldn’t authorize them. Secondly I was to have an ultrasound but it was not recorded or booked so my visit to Willits for the procedure wasn’t allowed. Very frustrating
It is always great when I go in to the office. Now! I will need to find other doctor because I was told.the office is no longer accepting patient. So I need to travel 52 miles round trip to visit a doctor. They want me to schedule an appointment to get to know me then to have appointment for the resean I came in for the beginning. I’m not a new patient of Adventist but I sure feel I am. Now that I’m sick and have missed two days of work not able to set up appointment with either Willits or Ukiah on hold for a total of 1hour. I’ll need to go to the emergency room to get a release to back to work. I feel I would be wasting the ER staff time and not having an emergency myself it makes me feel guilty. I aggravated a lower spine injury, couldnt walk, dress, go to the bathroom, anything unaided for 2 days, pain level not being managed with otc pain meds at home and sitting at pain level 8. So, my wife and I decided to go to their “Emergency Room”. The VA doesnt have one up here and this was bad enough we felt it warranted immediate attention. They were nice enough at check in, then left us sitting in the ER for 4.5 hrs in the back, no customer care, no “hey, youre next”. In fact, my wife had to get up and ask them at the 3 hr mark, to which we were told “the computer says you’re next!”. 90 min later, she is pacing and visibly upset. They finally call us and stick us in a tiny corner room completely empty save for a bed and a tray. The Dr came in twice, once with food on his face and a nurse came in twice. But they were nice enough to hit us with the bill the minute we got in the “theyre complaining” room. The Dr and the one nurse were the only 2 people in that “ER” who even stepped up.
I dealt with horrible service and treatment from the VA for 30 years. The service to my wife and I at this hospital in Willits was ABYSMAL. I would rather die in the damn street than go back to this joke of an ER. They get 1 star because the Dr was the one that finally got them to get me some damn help. Emergency room? Please. Ill go anywhere else but this place. After how we were treated yesterday, Im surprised these people got 5 stars.
Yes, Im upset so my review is biased. But I’ve been in customer care 30 years. Their “sense of urgency” for an ER was non existent. Id rather live with the pain of a spine injury than trust them with my care again.
My husband and I are thankful for the great job of Intensive Therapy team!!! My husband had pneumonia. Initially my husband was in critical condition. After being in hospital about one week, my husband was able to overcome critical situation! Then he was transfered to the Reabilitation Center. Thank you for your incredible work!!! It is nessary to express the great appreciation for professionalism, kindness, and compassion to the following members of the team: Dr. Tidwell; nurses – Shelli, Alonso, Lynnette, Jennifer, Cassandra; house keepers – Elizabeth and Maria!!! Thank you for saving people!!!
